Actually, it isn't that hard. Though I hate to say it, coming in second place is really like saying you are the first place loser. After all, there can only be one rightful owner on title for a property. After coming second place in six (!!) other offers in the course of a one year period, we were about to come in second place for our seventh offer. Last minute, there was some minute tricks that we use in order to win bids and beat out the 8 other offers that we were competing with.
Armed with the right market information and product knowledge, $321,000 over asking doesn't sound that bad considering that on the next month, a comparable house on neighbouring street sold for $80,000 more than what our clients bought it for!
